Principal’s Message

On behalf of the staff and students, I wish to extend a warm welcome to St. Aloysius School. Our school has served the Catholic community of the Avon Ward in beautiful Stratford, Ontario since 1955.

St. Aloysius Catholic School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 community of lifelong learners with Catholic Education as our foundation. Our school and staff are committed to developing the full potential of every child. The staff at St. Aloysius looks forward to providing a positive, safe and caring environment, where all are welcome and respected.

Through each year we get to know each other better; we grow in knowledge as we face great challenges and celebrate our successes.  We are always mindful of the time we have to reflect upon and appreciate the many experiences each year provides.

Shona Gracey, Principal

Bussing:  The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board and the Avon Maitland District School Board have an agreement where they collectively provide a common administration for transportation service for students registered within their respective jurisdictions.  The central administration is referred to as Huron Perth Student Transportation Services (HPSTS). In some cases, buses are shared with another school within the City of Stratford (e.g. Jeanne Sauve School).  Bussing information is available at https://ourschoolbuses.ca/
Attendance:  Please call the school or use the School Messenger App (http://huronperthcatholic.ca/students-and-families/school-messenger/)  to report your child’s absence, lateness or early dismissal. The school office voicemail is available 24/7.  Please follow the prompts when you call the school office.  As a part of our Safe School Arrival Policy, we begin calling home to verify their whereabouts by 9:00am.
